Hi, I’m Juliet. I am a transracially adopted Haitian-American woman. Black, spouse, woman, and millennial, are a few of my identities. I was born in Haiti, grew up in Fl, and now live in MA, in a city that stole my heart nine years ago. This blog is kind of my own personal journal but also, a place where people can learn more about adoption through the lens of my own personal journey of healing, acceptance and processing, particularly having to do with transracial and international adoption. But beyond that and more importantly, I hope that this blog creates a space where other adoptees can read, sigh, and feel like someone else “gets it”. Knowing that the research and resources for Transracial Adoptees are less than abundant, I thought I would add my own very personal take on this. Here it goes!
